Product description
There are countless pull buoys on the market. Different shapes, materials and colors. There is just so much to choose from. So why choose one from Swimaholic?
This Swimaholic pull buoy is 23.5cm long, 11cm wide and 4.5cm at the narrowest point, making it one of the larger pull buoys on the market. It is made of a nice material that is lightweight and fits well between the legs. One end of the pull buoy is wider than the other. This is to regulate the resistance – when you put the wider end down you create more resistance. You can easily put it between your ankles, knees and thighs or you can grab it in one arm.
When you have the pull buoy between your legs, the position where you put it will affect the center of gravity and your position, so you will be strengthening and training a different part of your body and arms each time.
When swimming crawl arms, it doesn’t fall, it lifts your body position and you can focus on your arms without worrying about the pull buoy floating away. Compared to cheaper pull buoys, it is made of harder, higher-quality foam material. I use the pull buoy regularly in my training and even after several years of use it does not mould or have “chewed” edges, as often happens with cheaper aids.
With the Swimaholic pull buoy, you can swim crawl, butterfly, breaststroke and backstroke and improve your technique. I include the pull buoy in my training regularly because it not only helps me improve my technique, and endurance and lift my legs to a horizontal position, but it also varies my training very well so swimming is not monotonous.
So what do you use the pull buoy for?
- It’s a great helper for arm technique
- It straightens your body in the water and strengthens your abdominal muscles
- You can both hold it in your hand and put it between your legs so it’s actually 2-in-1
- It doesn’t matter how good a swimmer you are, it’s for all swimmers
Final tip: try not to put the pull buoy only between your thighs, but place it between your ankles. Put the 100m with the pull buoy between your ankles. How does your belly feel? 🙂
EVA material (ethylene vinyl acetate) – This foam material is flexible, elastic and light. It is very durable, waterproof and is also resistant to UV radiation.
